PRAGUE - The Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic has approved an amendment to the Labor Code, which introduces a number of important changes in the area of labor relations. The amendment responds to current labor market needs and European legislative requirements. The key changes relate to remote work, rules for part-time employees, digitization of documentation, and simplification of communication between employees and employers. For example, it introduces a requirement for a written agreement for home office, expands the employer's information obligations to employees, and establishes new conditions for scheduling working hours. The aim of the amendment is to increase the flexibility of the labor market while maintaining legal certainty and protecting employees. It is expected that the law will now go to the President for signature and will then come into force later this year. The changes may significantly affect the daily operations of many companies and employees themselves.

The notice period will begin upon receipt of the notice. The probationary period will be extended. 14-year-olds will be allowed to work part-time.
